On Fridays in Lent, students at Saint James Catholic School gather for the traditional Lenten prayer service led by students in grades 5-8. Each Stations of the Cross is portrayed differently. The fifth graders used “Mary’s Way of the Cross” which follows the mother of Jesus as she walks the road to Calvary emphasizing her sense of surrender. Other classes portray the Stations through mime or drama. Pictured are fifth graders and Crystal Meza who portrayed Mary.
